Description
Radio Design Group’s new 22,000 SF headquarters, perched above Interstate 5 and the scenic Rogue River, iconically represents RDG’s corporate image and the promise of growing prosperity in southern Oregon. The collaborative team of owners, contractors, and designers conceptualized, designed, and built the facility on an under-utilized, steeply sloped site. CIDA re-evaluated a previously designed, highly over budget proposal and through careful design, including re-imagining the structural system, and the incorporation of natural site characteristics and adjacencies, the resulting project retained all the building’s programmatic needs, aesthetic appeal, and size of the original design while reducing the construction budget by an amazing 33%.
