Summit Body & Equipment

November 1, 2021 by

The new truck body manufacturing plant for Summit Body has been a game-changer to help us grow this employee-owned company. The number of challenges overcome by the project team was impressive. Time and again, we encountered permitting and budgeting problems. CIDA as our design team, persistently engaged with Clark County to finally get our approvals. The result is a modern manufacturing facility from which our employees are cranking out a record number of truck bodies. We’re just now investing in an additional laser that will bring in-house a critical step in our manufacturing process, something we would never had been able to do without this terrific new building. We are all so proud!”

Ted Croce, President

Description

The new building for Summit includes 50,000 square feet of truck body assembly, which nearly triples the company’s current production.  The structure is concrete tilt panel with three primary fabrication lines, support space, final project specific task area, and features a variety of overhead cranes to support the assembly of commercial truck and van bodies.  The large yard accommodates the production with covered parks storage and dock areas, chassis queuing and storage along with final inventory parking.
