MITCH Charter School
“Our school would like to take this opportunity to thank our partner CIDA in helping us create a school from an old warehouse. We are so pleased to recommend their team of caring professionals.
CIDA was very patient and considerate as we dealt with our huge budget restraints. They stood by us and continued to move forward even when it did not look budget favorable. They put items in and took items out as the budget changed and as volunteers stepped up to offer in-kind donations.
CIDA went to all the Energy Trust meetings and helped design what was needed for the school to have the maximum returns on energy efficiency. CIDA represented our school at every meeting we asked them to go to. They were always very positive and professional, and their opinions were very important throughout the processes.”
– Debi Lorence – Director, MITCH Charter School
Description
CIDA worked directly with the MITCH staff to create a functional, innovative and adaptable space plan for this tenant improvement within an existing light industrial building. The project included interior design, seismic upgrades, lighting design, and site planning services. CIDA worked very closely with the Energy Trust of Oregon to assist the owner with obtaining grant money for the HVAC and lighting improvements. CIDA maintains a relationship with the school and is currently assisting in adding additional classrooms to the space.
