Rebecca Kerr Receives 2022 Women of Vision Honor

November 22, 2022 by Dustin

With over 14 years in the industry and 11 at CIDA, Rebecca’s accomplishments within CIDA are foundational. She embodies CIDA’s culture and beliefs –advocating for clients’ interests, green design, continuous teaching and learning and community art.  The passion and energy with which Rebecca exercises this advocacy is unparalleled. Rebecca jumps in headfirst to fight for clients, colleagues, and causes. She gracefully balances being a dominant force for positive change and displaying the humility needed to be a continuous, curious learner.

Her focus on advocacy and her relentless problem-solving translate into a string of successful projects and clients. Specifically, Rebecca has developed the technical expertise in specialized industry sectors to successfully navigate complex projects including food services and processing, hi-tech laboratories, production facilities and veterinary services. As an advocate for her clients, she consistently tackles challenges with enthusiasm, perseverance, and dedication, finding successful, constructable solutions in complex environments without compromising her keen design sense.

In her role as Associate Architect, she has taken on new graduates as interns and job captains and has helped shape their careers by helping them gain the knowledge and confidence to try their hand at the unknown and lead their own projects. She intrinsically understands that while she provides knowledge and mentorship, she can also learn versatility by collaborating and being open to new ideas.

When asked what words come to mind about Rebecca, our team replied with the following: “passionate, experientially minded, vibrant, dedicated, perseverance, technically savvy, fights for her clients, always learning, problem-solving w/eye for constructability, collaborative, transparent, doesn’t shy away, resilient, energetic, advocate, versatile”

Rebecca simply shines at our office. She embodies CIDA’s culture and beliefs and is a huge asset to our company culture.  From her vibrant clothes to her vibrant personality, Rebecca is a wonderful addition to the Women of Vision honorees.
